Terms & Conditions
The simple rules for using our website and buying from Elim Pharmacy.
Last updated: 4 October 2026
These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) apply when you use elimpharmacy.com.ng (the “Website”) or buy from us. “We”, “us” and “our” mean Elim Pharmacy General Merchants, a community pharmacy in Maiduguri, Borno State. Our pharmacy work is supervised by our Superintendent Pharmacist, Pharm. Role Olalekan Oladele. By using the Website or placing an order, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Website.
1. Who can buy
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or place an order. If you buy for a child or another person, you confirm that you have the right to do so and that the details you give are correct.
2. Medical information on this Website
Product descriptions and other content on the Website are for general information only. They do not replace advice from a doctor, pharmacist or other qualified health worker. Always read the label and leaflet, and ask a pharmacist if you are unsure. In an emergency, go to the nearest hospital right away.
3. Prescription-only medicines
- Some medicines can only be supplied against a valid prescription from a registered medical or dental practitioner. For these products you must upload a clear copy of the prescription on our Prescription Upload page, or show the original when you collect or receive the order.
- Our pharmacists check every prescription. We may call you or your prescriber to confirm details.
- We may refuse, reduce or cancel any order if, in the professional judgement of our pharmacist, supplying it would not be safe, legal or appropriate. This includes orders with missing, unclear, expired or altered prescriptions, or quantities that look unusual. If we cancel a paid order for this reason, we refund you in full.
- We may limit the quantity of any medicine sold to one customer.
4. Products, photos and stock
- Product photos are for illustration. Packaging, brand look or pack size may change from what you see. The product name, strength and quantity on your order are what we supply.
- We try to keep stock correct, but an item may sell out after you order. If that happens, we will contact you to offer a suitable alternative (subject to pharmacist approval) or a refund.
- Where a pharmacist suggests an alternative brand of the same medicine and strength, we will only supply it with your agreement.
5. Prices and payment
- All prices are in Nigerian Naira (₦). Prices can change without notice, but the price shown when you place your order is the price you pay for that order.
- If a price is clearly wrong because of an error, we will tell you before we dispatch and you can choose to pay the correct price or cancel for a full refund.
- Online payments are processed securely by our payment partner, Paystack. We do not see or store your full card details.
- An order is accepted only when we send you an order confirmation and payment is complete.
6. Delivery and pickup
- We currently deliver within Maiduguri and its environs. You can also collect from any of our branches: Lagos Street, Shehu Laminu Way or Circular Road.
- Delivery times we give are estimates. Delays can happen because of weather, security, traffic or other events outside our control.
- Please give a correct address and a phone number that is reachable. Someone aged 18 or over must receive medicines. We may ask to see ID or the original prescription on delivery.
- Items that need cold storage (for example some vaccines and injections) may only be available for pickup or for special delivery arranged by us, so that the cold chain is kept.
7. Cancellations, returns and refunds
Please see our Refund and Returns Policy. For safety reasons, medicines cannot be returned once they have left our care, except in the cases set out in that policy.
8. Your account
Keep your login details private. You are responsible for activity on your account. Tell us at once if you think someone else has used it. We may suspend an account that is used to break these Terms or the law.
9. Acceptable use
You must not use the Website to commit fraud, upload false or altered prescriptions, resell medicines without the proper licence, or try to harm, hack or overload the Website.
10. Our responsibility to you
We supply products with reasonable care and skill, as required by Nigerian law, including the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Act 2018. Nothing in these Terms limits any right you have under that law, or our responsibility for death or personal injury caused by our negligence. Otherwise, we are not responsible for loss that was not foreseeable, for misuse of a product against its label or professional advice, or for indirect business losses. Our total responsibility for any order is limited to the amount you paid for it.
11. Privacy
We handle your personal and health information as set out in our Privacy Policy.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The version on this page when you place an order applies to that order.
13. Law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. If you have a complaint, please contact us first and we will try to resolve it quickly. If we cannot agree, the courts of Borno State, Nigeria will have jurisdiction. You may also contact the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (FCCPC) or the Pharmacy Council of Nigeria (PCN).
